Comparison
TrustBill vs Tally for UAE E-Invoicing
Tally is the most-installed SME accounting stack in the UAE. It is not, on its own, an Accredited Service Provider for the FTA e-invoicing mandate. This page compares what TallyPrime handles today and shows exactly where TrustBill fills the gap.
Two products, different jobs
TallyPrime is an accounting system. TrustBill is a compliance layer that reads what Tally produces, transforms it into a signed PINT-AE XML invoice, and submits it through an Accredited Service Provider on the Peppol network.
You don't replace Tally with TrustBill. TrustBill's Windows watch-folder agent picks up Tally-exported Excel or XML files, validates them against the FTA's 51 mandatory PINT-AE fields, and pushes them to the mandate network β while your accountants keep working exactly the same way inside TallyPrime.
This is important because the 2026β2027 mandate is not satisfied by generating a Tally VAT invoice, or by emailing an XML file to the buyer. Submission must go through an accredited ASP. As of the current release, Tally Solutions does not appear on the UAE Ministry of Finance's public ASP register.

When to use each β TrustBill
- You already run TallyPrime and don't want to migrate off it just to comply with the FTA mandate
- You need PINT-AE XML submission through an accredited ASP without writing TDL code or buying a Tally add-on
- You need Arabic + English bilingual rendering that is correct out of the box
- You are a consultancy onboarding many Tally-using SME clients into e-invoicing under one login
- Your accountants live in Tally exports and you want a folder-watching agent that just picks up files
When to use each β Tally
- You are choosing your first accounting platform β Tally is a strong pick for UAE SMEs regardless of mandate needs
- Your books, inventory, and payroll all live in TallyPrime and you have no plan to change that
- You have a Tally-certified partner already implementing TallyPrime for you
- You are outside the UAE FTA mandate entirely (e.g. non-VAT-registered or below the threshold)
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep TallyPrime and use TrustBill for the FTA mandate?+
Yes β that's the recommended pattern for the ~40% of UAE SMEs running Tally. TallyPrime stays your accounting system; TrustBill's watch-folder agent picks up Tally-exported invoices (Excel or XML), transforms them into PINT-AE XML, and submits them through our accredited ASP.
Does Tally have its own accredited service provider status in the UAE?+
As of the current release, Tally Solutions does not appear on the UAE Ministry of Finance's public ASP register. Verify at mof.gov.ae before relying on Tally alone for mandate submission.
How does the Tally β TrustBill integration work technically?+
TallyPrime exports invoices to Excel or XML via its standard export options (or via a TDL script). Our Windows / macOS desktop agent watches a folder for new exports, validates each invoice against the 51 mandatory PINT-AE fields, and submits it through our accredited ASP. The FTA acknowledgement UUID is written to a CSV alongside your Tally file for the audit trail.
What about Tally's Arabic invoice support?+
TallyPrime renders Arabic reasonably well for on-screen review, but RTL correctness on printed invoices varies by release and template. Many trades require RTL-first layouts with mirrored line items and VAT category labels β TrustBill's invoice renderer is RTL-first by default and covers the FTA's bilingual rendering requirements.
Do I need to buy a Tally add-on to become e-invoicing compliant?+
No β TrustBill sits outside Tally. You don't need a Tally add-on, TDL script, or Tally.NET subscription upgrade. Export invoices from TallyPrime the way you already do, drop them in the watched folder, and TrustBill handles the FTA submission end-to-end.
Is TrustBill more expensive than Tally?+
They are different products with different pricing models. TrustBill starts at zero for 50 invoices/month (compliance layer); TallyPrime is a perpetual on-prem licence (accounting platform). Most UAE Tally shops will pay for both β Tally for the books, TrustBill for the mandate submission.
