Zoho Books Integration
Zoho Books UAE E-Invoicing β PINT-AE & FTA-Ready
Zoho Books is FTA-certified as a Digital Tax Integrator and supports the PINT-AE data format, but it does not send Peppol/PINT-AE e-invoices through the 5-corner exchange on its own. TrustBill connects Zoho Books to the FTA e-invoicing network as your accredited ASP β converting, validating, and submitting invoices automatically. Built for UAE micro-SMEs and startups.
How TrustBill integrates with Zoho Books
TrustBill connects to Zoho Books through the Zoho OAuth API, pulling invoice data automatically without manual export. Zoho Books is an FTA-certified Digital Tax Integrator and supports the PINT-AE format, but it does not natively transmit Peppol/PINT-AE e-invoices through the 5-corner exchange. TrustBill acts as your FTA-accredited ASP and Peppol/PINT-AE gateway: we transform the Zoho Books invoice data, validate it against the FTA's 51 mandatory data elements, and submit it to the UAE e-invoicing network. You keep using Zoho Books exactly as you do today for accounting, billing, and reporting β we add the compliance layer on top.
One-time setup guide
Setting up the Zoho Books integration takes a few minutes:
1. **Create your TrustBill account** β Sign up for free (no credit card required). 2. **Add Zoho Books as a source** β In TrustBill, choose Zoho Books from the ERP integrations list. 3. **Authorize with Zoho OAuth** β Click Connect and grant TrustBill read-only invoice access to your Zoho Books organization. 4. **Map tax and invoice settings** β Match your Zoho tax codes, TRN, and invoice defaults to PINT-AE requirements. 5. **Send a test invoice** β Create a test invoice in Zoho Books and verify it appears in TrustBill with PINT-AE validation.
After setup, new invoices sync automatically. TrustBill never stores your Zoho credentials, and you can revoke access from your Zoho Books settings at any time.
PINT-AE compliance for Zoho Books invoices
TrustBill converts Zoho Books invoices to the UAE's PINT-AE XML standard, ensuring all mandatory fields are present and correct. The conversion covers the invoice UUID, issue date, seller and buyer TRNs, line-item details, VAT rates, and UAE-specific fields such as free zone flags, margin scheme indicators, and supply type.
Zoho Books supports the PINT-AE data format, but an FTA-accredited ASP is still required for the live Peppol 5-corner transmission. TrustBill fills that gap: every invoice is validated before submission, and any errors are reported in the TrustBill dashboard with clear explanations so you can fix them in Zoho Books and re-submit.

Security and read-only access
TrustBill requests only the minimum read-only access needed to read invoices and credit notes from Zoho Books. We do not ask for permission to create, modify, delete, or process payments in your Zoho account. All communication between Zoho Books and TrustBill uses TLS 1.3 in transit, and invoice data is encrypted at rest. TrustBill never stores your Zoho login or password.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Zoho Books enough for UAE e-invoicing on its own?
Zoho Books is an FTA-certified Digital Tax Integrator and supports the PINT-AE data format, but it does not natively send Peppol/PINT-AE e-invoices through the live 5-corner exchange. You still need an accredited ASP like TrustBill to transmit invoices to the FTA e-invoicing network.
Do I need an ASP (Accredited Service Provider)?
Yes. The FTA's 5-corner Peppol exchange requires an accredited ASP. TrustBill is an FTA-accredited ASP that handles PINT-AE conversion, validation, and submission for Zoho Books users.
How long does the setup take?
Most businesses are connected within a few minutes. Create a TrustBill account, add Zoho Books as a source, authorise the OAuth connection, map your tax settings, and send a test invoice.
Is my Zoho Books data secure?
Yes. TrustBill uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication and only requests read-only invoice access. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256-GCM. Your invoice data is stored in the UAE (AWS me-central-1).
Which Zoho Books plans work with TrustBill?
The integration works with Zoho Books Standard, Professional, Premium, and Enterprise plans. API access is required, so a paid Zoho Books plan is recommended. The free plan is not supported.
